- Legacy Network -

It may look different this year, but our high school and college students are still gaining crucial professional skills and experience in the Legacy Network Summer Fellowship. Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, it was clear that it would not be possible to run our signature Summer Internship Program.

Instead of cancelling, the Legacy Network Team, Jennella Young and Sasha Miller, redesigned the entire experience! They developed unique and creative ways to engage students remotely while building both technical and socio-emotional skills.

- Back to School -

Beginning with Children staff and school leadership teams worked through the summer to ensure a successful start to the 2020-2021 school year. We offered our students a four-week academic Summer Bridge program to mitigate the potential learning loss from the spring transition to remote school. We began our 2020-21 academic year virtually on August 24th and our leaders and teachers are thrilled to be back in their (virtual) classrooms with our students. We are planning for a return to in-person learning as soon as it is safe to open our school buildings. Our teams have closely followed guidance from health and education officials in developing re-opening plans that are based on best practices in health and safety, while also incorporating feedback from families, staff, and community members.

- A New Look! -

Have you been to any of our websites lately? If you have, you might have noticed that they look (hopefully a lot) different! We were about to finish a website redesign just before the Coronavirus outbreak and are excited to announce that it is officially complete! Take a look if you have a chance. There are new interactive features and  a lot of information on our school reopening plans.

Don’t forget to include Beginning with Children in your holiday shopping! Make sure to shop on AmazonSmile and add us as your organization of choice.
